He is the Eternal Living God....call him by his name.

How fortunate I am that I can seek refuge in the comforting arms of the creator of all the universe. The Lord has many names. And by those names we can call on him for the fulfillment of any mortal need we may have.

Elohim El Roi - The God who sees. Nothing has happened that the Lord my God hasn't already foreseen. He has already mapped a plan for me to free myself from these chains that bind me.

El Shaddai - All-Sufficient One, Almighty, The source of Everything. He is all powerful. No problem is too great or too trivial for my God to handle.

Adonai - Sovereign, Ruler His will shall prevail. None can contest or prevent the coming of his kingdom and his will.

Jehovah - Self existing one, I am that I am. God is eternal. He has always been and will always be and shall never forsake me.

Jehovah Jireh - God who Provides Whatever I need, he will provide.

Jehovah Nissi - God my Banner I shall proclaim him and exhault him before all others, and for this he shall lead me in the path of righteousness.

Jehovah Rapha - God my Healer He is not a God of sickness, he is a most passionate God of healing. Despite the brokeness of my spirit, my God will heal me. This he promises.

Jehovah M'kaddesh God Sanctifies No matter how much I sin, as a child of God, I can repent and he will sanctify me and make me clean.

Jehovah Shalom God of Peace It is not his will that my heart be in turmoil. If I seek him, he will bestow upon me the peace that passes all understanding.

Jehovah Tsabaoth Lord of Hosts He commands a large army of "hosts" willing to do battle on his behalf and he shall send them to protect and defend me and that which is right.

Jehovah Rohi Lord my Shepherd It is here that I shall take comfort in the warm embrace of the gentle shepherd...the shepherd who would leave the many to safely retrieve the one lost sheep. I can never stray so far that he will not find and recover me into his flock.

Jehovah Tsidkenu The Lord of righteousness. No matter what, I can always know that his will is the right thing for my life.

The list goes on, but I've found it to be extremely effective to call him by his specific name which addresses the actual need I have at the time.

I'll make it through this. The Lord shall not forsake me, and He will lead me through the dark valley of death only to arrive victorious on the other side.
