Thank you, thank you...thank you everyone! Please be seated.
Rebecca has judiciously bestowed upon me the very young but very appreciated "Thinking Blogger Award" and I am truly flattered. It came with a list of rules so I shall dutifuly post them and pass the award along to 5 bloggers that I believe put a great deal of thought ino their blogs. Bloggers who can talk about nothing and make it interesting because they write well or bloggers who's posts are opinionated but, right or wrong, are able to articulate solid reasons for their opinions.
Here are the rules that came with the award.1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote.
That's it! Please, remember to tag blogs with real merits, i.e. relative content, and above all - blogs that really get you thinking!
So, without further adieu...here are the recipients:
Hope at The Wanderings and Ponderings of a Brilliant Mind. My first reader. My first blogroll buddy. She invokes thought of life's simpler pleasures and headaches. Not really any theme here, just whatever's on her mind, but she's obviously a smart woman and she keeps me interested in whatever she might be thinking. Her site meter ticks faster than mine, gotta be for good reason.
Leonidas at Fighting in the Shade. His site name references the Spartan King Leonidas who, with 300 brave soldiers, held off an invading army of greater than 1 million Persians at the small Pass of Thermopylae. Leonidas' response to the Persian King, Xerxes when told he would not be harmed if he would surrender his arms, "MOLON LABE!" has become a battle cry for 2nd Amendment activists (a kinship that he and I share). A real wordsmith, here. He's probably more intelligent than he cares to admit. A retired crime fighter from the LA County Sheriff's Dept, he's now living it up in the great "Red State" of Georgia....my stomping grounds. Give him a visit.
Wayne Dawg over at Dawg on the Lawn. A strong Christian and great apologist, he's firm and faithful and were I not already a Christian, I'd have to say he's quite convincing. He's had a few spirited but insightful debates on his site and even jumped in to help me with a few on mine. This guy also hails from the great state of Georgia. Intelligent and much much more patient with the ignorant majority than I, he's definitly worth a visit.
Badbeans at The Bean Patch. Beans hasn't posted in a while, but I greatly look forward to the day he comes back. He's a fantastic conservative debator. He makes strong arguments that would make even the most educated liberal sweat. Also a flag flying Christian he, coincidently enough...lives in Georgia (starting to look like a pattern here). Even though there's nothing recent, his site is still a great read. Every post is written well enough to publish.
911 Dispatcher resides over at, well...911 Dispatcher. Easy enough, right? Full of the Sarcasm and wit that only comes with years of public service, 911dispatcher is very entertaining. I get the impression that the site is probably a place to brain dump all the crap that happens in a 911 center, kinda like my other site, 9-1-1.blogspot.com. But it's great stuff...go read.
Well, there you have it. 5 brand new recipients of this new but neat little blog award. The spoils are yours ladies and gentlement...spend it wisely.
