Out of the approximately 160,000 troops deployed to Iraq in the last 22 months, about 2112 have died. Assuming all were killed with a firearm,(which we all know to be false, many are killed from IED's.) one could assume a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000.

Washington DC has the strongest gun control laws in the country. Their death rate from firearms is 80.6 per 100,000. You have a 25% greater probability of being killed with a gun in our nations capital than in Iraq.
